AI transcription, one credit a minute
No captions is not a dead end. We transcribe the audio and return timed segments.
What happens
If not, we transcribe the audio and return text, language and timed segments with source: "ai".
What it costs
| Audio length | Credits |
|---|---|
| Captions exist | 1 |
| Up to 2 minutes | 1 |
| 10 minutes | 50 |
Past 2 minutes it is 5 credits per started minute of the whole video, and only if you send allow_long_transcription=true. A failed transcription is free, and a repeat you already paid for is free with max_age_days.

Questions
Can I turn it off?
Yes, on endpoints with the
ai_fallback parameter. With it off, a video without captions returns nothing and charges nothing.
