Questions

How does the summary know what the video says?

It is written from the captions or a transcription of the audio, and nothing else. It does not read text shown on screen.

Can the summary be wrong?

Yes. AI can miss or misread something, so check the transcript under the summary before you rely on a point.

Why is the summary so short?

Most TikToks say very little. A clip with only a few words gets a short summary, or a note that there is too little to summarize.

Is this tool free?

Yes. No account and no card. Each visitor gets a limited number of lookups an hour, so it stays free for everyone.

How do I get this data in my own app?

Send GET /v1/tiktok/video/transcript with your key in the x-api-key header. A request costs 1 credit for captions; AI transcription 1 up to 2 minutes, then 5 per started minute of the whole video. A repeat of something fetched recently costs 0 credits, and failed requests are free. See the reference.
